In the first of our weekly Code Drill we look at something very basic, getting a simple “Hello, World!” test run in Selenium. While simple enough it gives us a way to make sure the Selenium C# framework set-up we have is working as expected.
To run this Code Drill you’ll need to have the Simple Automation Framework set-up.
Problem: Proving Selenium C# is set-up on our system
Given a test project is set-up in Visual Studio
When the test navigates to Google
And runs a search for Hello, World!
Then the search completes successfully giving a Pass state for our test
Approach: Make sure you’ve set up Visual Studio and Selenium as described in ‘The Basics’. Choose any browser, we’ll be using Internet Explorer.
